The Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame is focused on, not only honoring our great athletes and our rich sports history, but on providing an inspirational experience for our youth. This cooperative effort between the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame, Fresno State University and Fresno County Schools will provide a one-of-a-kind experience for our visitors.
When we look at the youth in our community and we look at the struggles that they are facing whether it is bullying at school, dropout rates, or gang violence in our community (which all affect the crime rates in our community) ...they are appalling. These problems affect all of us. The new Hall of Fame is not going to solve these problems, but we do think it's a chance for us to provide an opportunity for students to see other ways to grow up and learn through the great values of sports. Whether they choose to go into Athletics or not we have an opportunity to teach about success in life...and that is a life lesson that our youth needs.
As we harness the latest in interactive technology and dynamic graphics presenting the challenges and successes of our inductees, we hope to inspire our youth to see beyond today and set their sights high for the future. Life’s lessons if never taught are of no value. Providing guidance, inspiration, and hope for today’s youth will ensure our future as a community.
Render Tower: Four Interactive Video Towers will each be the home of 3 large vertical interactive, touch monitors. Each will contain 20 initial interactive athlete videos. Each will provide a unique story on their history and the work and dedication required to achieve their success in athletics and in life.
“We are excited about this bold partnership between the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame, Fresno State and Fresno County Schools. Together along with you, generations of children and families will be enriched through the amazing stories of the men and women enshrined in the Fresno County Athletic Hall of Fame. Imagine how an interactive, educational exhibit located in the Save Mart Center will inspire hundreds of thousands of visitors and deepen our sense of community pride.
